Clyffe Dairy Cottage is a snug little cottage at the East end of
Clyffe Farmhouse and is a popular choice for returning guests. It has its
own entrance at the side of the farmhouse and parking opposite the door
(left side of the picture). The kitchen/diner is well equipped for three/four
guests and has electric oven and microwave, but in the winter months
also an oil fired Stanley, which is like an Aga, and heats
the radiators and water. There is a fridge with small freezer box and
washing machine. A drier is available if needed. It is south facing and
looks out into a little private garden at the back of the cottage.
The bedroom has a double and single bed with an ensuite bathroom. Beautiful
views across the fields and attractive farmhouse garden. A travel cot is available.
The cosy lounge has a feature inglenook fireplace and beams.
Clyffe Farm is situated about 350 yards on the east side of Tincleton
Church and is blessed with an abundance of wildlife, attractive walks around
the ponds and to the woods directly from the cottage. The farm has a herd
of Pedigree Red Devon cattle and beef youngstock, along with growing
arable and salad crops. An occasional wedding is held in The Old Barn which
houses a collection of agricultural memorabilia.
Clyffe Farmhouse offers B&B for two discerning guests. Minimum
two night stay from £125. This is the opposite end of the farmhouse
with own front door, lounge/diner equipped with fridge, toaster,
tea/coffee making facilities/egg boiler. Continental style breakfast
supplied for guests to take when they wish to rise and replenished daily.
The stairway leads to a double bedroom and private bathroom. There is no
