Luxury Boutique Accommodation set in the Grounds of the Famous and Popular Shave Cross InnSituated in the centre of the beautiful Marshwood Vale of West Dorset, just 3 miles from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast in a true part of Hardy's Dorset and defiantly 'Far from the Madding Crowd'.The Shave Cross House is a newly built Dorset flint stone building with beautiful stone floors and oak beams constructed in the same tradition as the 700 year old Inn which was once a busy stop off point for pilgrims and monastic visitors. The thatched 14th Century Shave Cross Inn is probably one of the oldest surviving hostelries in England. The unique Shavers Restaurant has been serving authentic Caribbean and International cuisine by its two chefs for the past 4 years and has been awarded many accolades. The pub has also won two CAMRA Pub of the Year awards for its real ales and ciders. The meals on our fine dining Menu are made fresh to order. We have adapted all our recipes from dishes found on our travels around the world and especially from the Caribbean, and many of the ideas come from Tobago, Fiji, the Pacific Rim, Thailand and Louisiana with its hypnotic Cajun music. All our wines have been carefully selected to accompany this very special menu for you to enjoy. Accommodation comprises 7 luxury en-suite rooms, of which 3 are four poster double bedrooms, 3 doubles with sleigh beds and 1 honeymoon suite. Each room has been individually designed and furnished with luxurious fittings. All rooms are en-suite, have flat screened televisions, hairdryers & tea making facilities. The rooms are available for daily, weekly or weekend breaks, so why not spend a romantic weekend at the Shave Cross Inn? This is the one place that is very individual, sitting at the end of several tortuously narrow lanes where you can get away from it all, for people wishing to unwind, relax, chill out and recover from the stresses of modern life. |
All rooms are en suite
