Why, is there something special going on somewhere? July/August and again August/September will be exceptionally busy, quite apart from the expected summer holiday season rush - expect hotel accommodation across much of GB, especially southern England from Dorset to London and beyond, to be particularly difficult to obtain in 2012. Visitors expecting to stay in London will need to look further afield and Dorset hotels will be very popular.

International sailing and watersports events are often based here in Dorset, and Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy will proudly be hosting the Olympic sailing events in 2012 with many new world-class facilities that will continue to be available to the local sailing community afterwards too.
